Now in its sixth year, The Gathering Place will once again be a highlight of Roundup. This year’s stellar program gives guidance and tells success stories on a host of topics and focuses on the importance of engaging early with Indigenous people and the mutual benefit of doing so. The mineral exploration industry leads the natural resource sector in building relationships through meaningful engagement and we look forward to furthering those practices in order to maintain access to lands and create economic opportunities for all British Columbians.
New this year we are proud to add an “Indigenous Youth Panel”, an “Economic and Business Panel” and an “Indigenous Women in Mining Panel”, all of which will speak to the value of how mineral exploration and development contribute to evolving and growing urban and rural communities alike.
Lastly, we will be looking for your feedback and input to the third version of the “Indigenous Relations Guidebook”, which will be published in late Spring 2018.
