Dr. Bram van Straaten is the Senior Minerals Geologist with a focus on copper metallogeny at the British Columbia Geological Survey. Bram is an experienced regional geological mapper and mineral deposit researcher with a current interest in the porphyry-prospectivity of the Stikine terrane in northwestern BC. Bram is a graduate of Utrecht University (M.Sc., 2003) and the University of British Columbia (Ph.D., 2010). Prior to joining the BC Geological Survey, he worked as a Senior Advisor to Hunter Dickinson Inc., developing and executing exploration programs on copper and gold targets throughout BC. He brings both industry and government experience to address geological and mineral deposits research to northwestern BC.
