Cathy Mackay joined EDI in 2006 and was invited to join the Board of Directors in 2008. She currently is Chief Operations Officer with over 80 staff in 8 locations. EDI focuses on living things and places they live. Their speciality is regulatory support including impact assessment, environmental management, and mitigation related to fish and wildlife. Cathy is a Registered Professional Biologist and a Professional Agrologist. She is a leader in regulatory support for the mining and energy sectors. Building teams and seeing people succeed is what motivates her the most. Having effective relationships with a wide network of communities and businesses is essential to EDI’s continued success. As a Board member of the Northern Technology and Engineering Society, Cathy also advocates for advanced education in northern BC.
