Chris Rockingham is an exploration geologist who has worked in a variety of geological and social setting in various countries. He has an MSc in geology and an MBA. Over the last eleven years of his career he principally focused on two projects, Young Davidson in Ontario in which he was involved from the first due diligence visit through to production, during which time he supervised the successful exploration and delineation of the deposit while negotiating two Impact Benefit Agreements.
He has been involved with Kemess since its open pit operations but since 2010 he has been actively promoting the Kemess Underground Project as a better way of mining this deposit. He led the Kemess Underground project through the successful Federal and Provincial Environmental Assessment process while negotiating the Impact Benefit Agreement with Tse Keh Neh. He also led the exploration team that discovered the Kemess East deposit for which they received the Spud Huestis Award for Excellence in Mineral Exploration in 2017.
