Marketing and Communications in the Modern Mining World
A veteran of international corporate communications and marketing, Christine worked for six years in high-tech marketing, then joined a boutique communications agency in 2005, working as a senior account strategist for Finning, Goldcorp, Silver Wheaton, Westminster Savings Credit Union, and HSBC, amongst others. In 2008, Christine was lured by the luster of gold, joining New Gold Inc. Since 2013, she has been working as Director of Communications at Vancouver’s Goldcorp Inc., one of the world’s leading gold mining companies. In addition to communications, she oversees Goldcorp’s extensive community philanthropy portfolio that has granted over $40 million to programs supporting health, education, community development and arts and culture.
Christine is a married mother of 3 kids and an avid community volunteer. She currently serves on the board of the Minerva Foundation and on the Mining for Miracles Committee that has raised over $23 million for BC Children’s Hospital over the years. She also donates her time to Special Olympics BC and Dress for Success Vancouver as chair for various fundraising events.
When she’s not standing at the side of a soccer pitch or in a gymnastics studio with her kids, she can be found appreciating great design anywhere it appears.
