Research Scientist, Geological Survey of Canada
Patrick (Mercier-Langevin) joined the Geological Survey of Canada as a research scientist in 2006 and has been conducting collaborative research on gold and volcanogenic massive sulfide deposits in Canada and abroad. He currently is the science lead of the 2015-2020 Targeted Geoscience Initiative Gold Project of NRCan.
Patrick, along with colleagues and numerous students, has been conducting research on major BIF-hosted gold deposits in Canada for the past eight years, more specifically in Nunavut at Meadowbank, Amaruq and Meliadine. Results of this ongoing work will be presented during the Canada Session at Roundup.
