Overview

Over the past decade, spectral geology has seen increased application in all stages of mineral exploration. This short course will bring subject matter experts to review the fundamental capabilities and limitations of infrared spectral technologies; practical considerations such as sampling, field workflow and QAQC; as well as recent advances and case histories of field applications ranging from regional-district scale mapping to property – deposit scale mapping and core-logging for porphyry, epithermal, Carlin, skarn and VMS exploration. It is intended for exploration geologists, geochemists, exploration managers as well as students and researchers.
