AME Remote Roundup Questions

I am registered - how do I access the conference?

Leading through the change caused by the global pandemic, the conference will be presented in an entirely virtual format as “AME Remote Roundup” to safely facilitate one of the largest gatherings of the global exploration industry.

You will access the conference with the email you used to register and your confirmation number is your password.

How does a virtual conference work?

AME Roundup 2021 will take place online within a virtual conference platform. Traditional conference experiences will be presented in new, exciting digital formats.

What technology do I need to participate in AME Roundup 2021?

You’ll be able to fully engage and participate remotely on your preferred device that has a speaker and microphone and is connected to high-speed internet.  For the best experience we recommend a desktop/laptop computer using Chrome or Firefox web browsers. Click here for computer additional tips.

How does going virtual affect the conference programming and format?

AME Roundup 2021 will still include all of our traditional programming, just presented remotely.  This includes the conference sessions presented in a virtual theatre and a full virtual exhibit hall, including the Exhibitor Booths, Core Shack, Prospectors’ Tent, Project Generators Hub and Poster Session.  Our content will be relevant to on-the-ground realities of today, delivered by high-calibre speakers, through engaging exhibitors and by participating in interactive sessions.

What time zone will the conference be in?

Attendees and participants will be able to access live and on-demand programming from anywhere in the world, whether from home, at work or in camp.  All official AME Roundup 2021 programming will be scheduled between 8:00 am PT and 4:00 pm PT.  While the best experience will always be participating live, all sessions be made available on our digital conference platform for six months.

How will networking work “Remote”?

Networking will look a little different this year, but there will still be plenty of valuable opportunities to make new connections. Visit our schedule at a glance  and the Networking Events section to view our networking opportunities.

What does it cost to participate?

  • Attendees: Click here for attendee pricing and registration.
  • At this date all registrations are non-refundable and non-transferrable.

When is the early bird deadline?

Our early bird pricing ends November 20, 2020

What pass do I need?

This year with the virtual Roundup all passes include full conference programming, purchase a membership for a discount. You may also choose to add on the AME Webinar Bundle for a discounted price.

How do the student and senior discounts work?

For Seniors, you must purchase an AME individual Membership in Step 2 of registration, when you do so the senior rate will appear on Step 3. You must be 65 or older to be eligible for the Senior Discount. You may be required to provide verification.

For Students, you must purchase an AME Student Membership in Step 2 of registration, when you do all student options will show up on Step 3 already discounted. You may be asked to provide a student card or verification of enrollment.

How do I add something to my registration?

In your confirmation email, the button below your information and barcode will take you back into your registration where can add products to your registration.  It should appear as a button “Review/Update Registration” You will not be able to change any personal information on your registration or transfer to another attendee.

How do I get my receipt or confirmation?

You will automatically receive two emails – your invoice and confirmation.

If you need a receipt, please click the second link in the confirmation that will appear as “Click here to view your purchase receipt and itinerary of what you have registered for.”

How do I get a refund or transfer passes?

Refunds are subject to an $80 admin fee and must be applied for in writing by November 20, 2020 at 4 pm PST. Attendees unable to attend the conference may transfer their registration until December 31, 2020.

Why can't I register more than one person with my email?

This year, all email addresses will have to be unique in order to receive access to the platform.

AME Membership Questions

How do I become a member or renew my membership?

All AME Individual Memberships for 2021 can be purchased while registering for Roundup. Please renew/purchase your membership via the Roundup registration to ensure you receive member pricing.  Corporate membership is not eligible for the Roundup member discount. All discounts are attached to individual members.

By selecting a membership in step 2, the discounted rates will automatically be displayed in step 3.

All memberships run January – December.

Our Individual Membership allows for important input and feedback on key matters from the perspective of an individual professional working within the global exploration and development industry, and not necessarily as an employee or representative of any one company or group operating or based in BC. How can I get a speaking spot?

Technical Talks submissions are still open until mid-October. If you’re interested in speaking next year, apply here.

Short Course submissions have now closed. Short course submission will be available for Roundup 2022 in early Spring.
