Our decision to cancel the in-person portion of AME Roundup 2022 and switch to a fully virtual conference as we did in 2021 will be guided by emergency orders, health orders, and recommendations made by the Canadian, British Columbia, and local governments. In the case of a full or partial cancellation of the in-person portion of Roundup, all programming including ticketed events will transition to the fully virtual platform for Roundup or be postponed to a later date.

For individual delegates who purchase a full in-person and virtual pass, you will be offered a partial registration refund and transition to the fully virtual platform for Roundup. See the AME Roundup 2022 – Delegate Terms & Conditions for details.

Booth exhibitors will be transitioned to the fully virtual platform and may be refunded for the in-person portion of their booth. Booth exhibitors who choose not to participate virtually may apply to cancel their booth in writing and will be subject to a fee. See the AME Roundup 2022 – Exhibitor Terms and Conditions for details.

For our valued sponsors, we will do our best to accommodate all benefits in the online platform. Each sponsorship agreement will be discussed on a case-by-case basis with sponsors as each sponsorship agreement is unique.

As part of our commitment to health and safety, COVID-19 rapid antigen tests will be available for in-person participants on a voluntary basis.

COVID-19 Vaccination Policy

Attendees at AME Roundup are required to abide by the health and safety rules of the conference. AME Roundup will be guided by emergency orders, health orders, and recommendations made by the Canadian, British Columbian, and local governments.

AME requires all in-person participants at AME Roundup to be fully vaccinated – including delegates, exhibitors, volunteers, AME staff and contractors and consultants who interact directly with delegates and/or exhibitors.  This policy applies to conference set-up, programming and teardown. Attendees may be required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination and should be prepared to do so.

Contractors and consultants who do not interact directly with delegates and/or exhibitors will be permitted to enter the venue with a daily negative COVID-19 rapid antigen test at their own cost. COVID-19 rapid antigen tests will also be available for in-person participants on a voluntary basis.

Be prepared to wear a mask when requested, wash and/or sanitize your hands frequently, social distance and stay home if you are not feeling well.

AME Roundup 2022 will include all our traditional programming. The physical conference sessions will be hosted at the Vancouver Convention Centre (VCC) West and streamed on a virtual platform. We will be hosting a physical Exhibit Hall at VCC West and a parallel virtual Exhibit Hall on the Whova platform including Exhibitor Booths, Core Shack, Prospectors’ Tent, Project Generators Hub and Poster Session.

Networking opportunities will take place in-person and online, but ticketed events will be for in-person attendees only.

Both! Our goal is to host our traditional in-person networking events with modifications to meet the relevant public health orders. Stay tuned for more details. In addition, we will be hosting online networking opportunities, including daily Speed Networking Sessions and our second annual Poker Tournament.

Visit our schedule at a glance and the Networking Events section to view your networking opportunities.

Hybrid conferences are the ‘new normal’. AME Roundup 2022 will be both an in-person conference at the Vancouver Convention Centre West and a virtual conference hosted on Whova, a leading conference platform. Registrants may purchase a full pass for in-person and virtual access to the conference, or a virtual-only pass to experience the conference fully online.

The two platforms will be truly integrated. The technical and special sessions will be filmed and available live (streamed online) as well as on-demand after the event. Presentations may be a mix of in-person and remote presenters and all exhibitors will have in-person and virtual booths.
