Aaron Bruce

Aaron is a Partner at the law firm Ratcliff and Company LLP located in North Vancouver. He is a member of the Squamish Nation and has practiced in the area of Aboriginal law for 15 years.

Aaron advises First Nations on land and resource issues, Aboriginal rights and title, matters under the Indian Act, First Nation governance issues, regulatory processes, economic development projects, and acts as general counsel for First Nations governments, including his home community the Squamish Nation.

Aaron has worked for First Nations on major projects negotiations in the oil and gas, mining, all season resort and renewable energy sectors as well as on major land acquisitions. A recent project of note is the development of the Squamish Nation Led Environmental Assessment Process for the Woodfibre LNG Project. Aaron has also participated as a member of the provincial Environmental Assessment Advisory Committee, which developed recommendations for the revitalization of the Environmental Assessment Act.
