Speaking at: Precious Metals

Attila Péntek, Vice President Exploration of Wallbridge Mining, is a Professional Geoscientist with over 14 years of experience in the mining industry and in economic geology research. Attila has been involved with Wallbridge since 2005 and has held progressively more senior roles, including Senior Geologist responsible for resource geology and evaluation of new opportunities and Project Manager for the Broken Hammer Cu-PGE Open Pit Project.

Since his appointment as VP Exploration in late 2017, he has been building the Company’s geology team, leading it through a 35,000-tonne underground bulk sample and the ongoing 70-80,000 metre 2019 exploration drill program at Fenelon Gold. So far this year, this program has made the discovery of the Area 51 pluton-hosted gold-bearing vein network as well as the Tabasco and Cayenne shear zones, demonstrating the large size potential of the Fenelon gold system.

Attila completed his M.Sc. and Ph.D. focusing on characterizing and understanding the origin of footwall Cu-PGE mineralization in the Sudbury Structure and these projects were carried out as a collaboration between the Eötvös Loránd University (Budapest, Hungary), and Carleton University (Ottawa, Canada). He is currently the President of the Sudbury Prospectors and Developers Association.
