Francis Sullivan

Francis is a consultant and senior adviser in sustainability. He worked at HSBC Holdings in London from 2004 to 2018, following 20 years in sustainable development at WWF where he held a variety of leadership roles, including Director of Conservation for WWF-UK.

At HSBC, Francis has defined the Group’s strategy on sustainability issues, working across HSBC’s Global Businesses and Global Functions and operations to support its implementation. He is currently overseeing the review of the HSBC Asset Management Responsible Investment Policy.

Francis is also chair of the board of the Sustainable Biomass Program, a certification system for woody biomass, is deputy chair of the board of ResponsibleSteel, a certification system for steelmaking and is a member of the advisory council of the Copper Mark.
