Keivan Hirji is an expert in sustainable natural resource development and cross-cultural relationship building. He has held senior political, public service, and private sector roles where he has worked to responsibly bring Canadian commodities to world markets while ensuring local communities were involved in decision-making and benefited from resource development. Keivan is on the North American Sustainability & External Relations Leadership Team for Newmont corporation, the world’s largest gold mining company and a major player in copper. In this role, he leads regional Indigenous relations, government relations, and strategic sustainability initiatives.
