Silvia Bottero is the Vice President of Exploration in Côte d’Ivoire and has been working at TSX-listed Endeavour Mining, one of the world’s top 15 gold producers and the largest in West Africa, since 2013. A Professional Geologist, she has more than 18 years of experience in the mineral exploration industry, worked for major, intermediate, and junior mining companies in roles ranging from grassroots regional exploration to project generation, resource infill drilling and project management.

During the past eight years at Endeavour, Silvia led the exploration team at the Ity mine who discovered 3.5 million ounces of Measured, Indicated and Inferred resources, following a 200,000m drilling campaign. This provided the base case for the Ity CIL Plant Project, which was built in 2018 and commissioned in Q2 2019.  More recently, she is leading the regional exploration team which re-evaluated the structural and geological model of the greenfield Fetekro exploration project. An intensive drilling exploration program has discovered 2.5 million ounces of Indicated resources over the past 3 years and an updated Preliminary Economic Assessment based on this resource is expected to be published in the coming months.

Silvia has an extensive track record of successfully managing exploration teams, including significant field work and exploration camp experience, working with a wide variety of cultures in challenging terrains and remote locations, such as Asia, Western, Central and Southern Africa and America.
