January 21 @ 8:00 am January 22 @ 5:00 pm

Presented by: Richard J. Goldfarb and Stuart F. Simmons

This two-day workshop is for those who want to improve their understanding of the geology and genesis of gold deposits, as well as key features required in their exploration. The course will provide a comprehensive and worldwide overview of all aspects of the geology of gold ores common in both arc environments (epithermal, porphyry) and metamorphic terranes (orogenic). It will also touch upon aspects of other important but less widespread gold ore types, such as Carlin and reduced intrusion-related gold ores. Geology, geochemistry, mineralogy, alteration, structure, tectonics, and exploration approaches will be covered for the various types of gold deposits.

Registration closes 48 hours before course date.
