Health, Safety & Inclusion

Health and safety are top priorities at AME and part of our core values. At AME Roundup 2024, we want everyone to have a “Safe Day, Every Day”.

Access and Facilities

AME commits to creating a safe space for all AME Roundup attendees and requires all delegates to follow our Anti-Discrimination and Harassment Policy.

AME Roundup 2024 is hosted at Vancouver Convention Centre East. Currently, there are no public health restrictions in place in Vancouver, and AME and the VCC will monitor public health. Any updates will be posted on this page.

A description of the safety protocols the VCC has in place can be found here: Welcoming You Back, Safely. The VCC is operating at full capacity with enhanced safety protocols in place.

We encourage all attendees to be fully vaccinated, to self-monitor for symptoms of communicable disease and not attend in person if feeling unwell.

Facility floor plans are available on the VCC website to help you plan your visit.

Health & Wellness Lounge

AME is also pleased to bring back the Health & Wellness Lounge, sponsored by Teck.

PSA testing provided by the Prostate Cancer Foundation Canada and LifeLabs;

Ovarian cancer information provided by OVCARE;

Mental health resources;

Canadian Blood Services will be onsite to educate AME Conference attendees on the global need for stem cell donors. All it takes to register is basic contact information and four cotton swabs in your cheeks. It’s the simplest way to learn if you’re a match to cure someone’s otherwise incurable cancer. Visit Canadian Blood Services in the Concourse as well as in the Health and Wellness Lounge.
