The Future of Mineral Titles Online: Preparing for MTO2 and the Retirement of MTO in 2027

This short course provides a practical overview of the transition from the current Mineral Titles Online (MTO) system to the modernized MTO2 system being developed by the Province of British Columbia for release in 2027. The session focuses on what is changing within the software, including the transition from standalone transactions to integrated workflows, improvements to system functionality, and the overall user experience. Participants will see how key processes, such as claim registration, maintenance, and reporting, will work in MTO2, with direct comparisons to the current system. Designed for industry users, consultants, free miner certificate holders, recorded holders, and agents, this course will help participants understand what to expect from MTO2, how their day-to-day interactions with the system may change, and how to prepare for the transition.
