NI 43-101: Navigating Technical Disclosure Obligations

This course is designed for mining industry professionals involved in public disclosure for mineral projects, including officers of mining and mineral exploration companies, investor relations services providers, and geologists and mining engineers. It focuses on the legal obligations related to mining disclosure under Canada’s securities regime, and will include discussions of the purpose and principles of NI 43-101, as well as provide an overview of updates to the NI 43-101 proposed by Canadian Securities Administrators. Key topics will include responsibilities for “Qualified Persons”, identifying events that trigger the need for a technical report, content and format of technical disclosure, and recognizing and avoiding common disclosure pitfalls.
