Janis Brooks is the Founder and Principal Consultant of Salishan Solutions Inc., an Indigenous-owned consulting firm specializing in reconciliation, decolonization, and Indigenous relations. With over two decades of experience working alongside more than 200 Indigenous Nations across Turtle Island, Janis helps organizations move from awareness to meaningful action through culturally grounded leadership, policy, and engagement practices. She has led transformative work with partners like Teck Resources Ltd., Royal Roads University, and the BC Institute of Agrologists, centering Indigenous voices and lived experience as catalysts for organizational change. Recognized as a thought leader and trusted practitioner, Janis is known for creating spaces that foster understanding, courage, and connection — where reconciliation becomes both personal and practical.
