BC Cancer Foundation: Exploring for a Cure

Building on a successful and sold-out inaugural event last year, AME and BC Cancer Foundation will host the second annual “Exploring for a Cure” on January 22nd, 2024 at the Vancouver Convention Centre East in Vancouver, BC. Held on the Monday evening of AME’s annual Roundup conference, this event aims to connect British Columbia’s philanthropic mineral exploration and development industry with the BC Cancer Foundation in support of their world-class research.

We are very excited to welcome Dr. Hayley Wickenheiser as our keynote speaker this year. Seven world championships, six Olympic appearances, five Olympic medals — she is a titan of sport and a leader both on and off the ice, having now transitioned into a career in medicine and as assistant GM for the Toronto Maple Leafs. Much like her bestselling book Over the Boards: Lessons from the Ice, we expect she will share the lessons that won her four Olympic gold medals, and hard-earned wisdom distilled from moments when she fell short.
