Cassady Harraden
Assistant Professor, University of British Columbia
Cassady Harraden is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC. Her research focuses on responsible resource development by integrating mineralogy, geochemistry, spectral geology, and engineering data to enhance orebody knowledge and optimize critical mineral recovery. Drawing on her industry experience and cutting-edge academic research (including automated core logging, hyperspectral, and LIBS methods), she develops advanced analytical and data fusion methods to support exploration, mine design, and reduced environmental impact, while collaborating across academia, government, and industry to train the next generation of geoscientists and engineers.
