Cooper was still getting his Earth Sciences degree from SFU when he got his first job in mineral exploration in the beer line at Roundup. Since then, he’s worked for a myriad of junior exploration companies in the Cordillera and abroad for most metals. Recently, he’s focused on harnessing geology for carbon management – using certain minerals permanently trap CO2 from the atmosphere, or industrial processes.
