Alexei S. Rukhlov

Dr. Alexei Rukhlov studied petrogenesis of carbonatites and related rocks of the Kola alkaline province through his graduate work at St. Petersburg State University. As a post-doctoral fellow at Carleton University, Alexei used isotopic systematics in carbonatites worldwide to monitor evolution of the sub-lithospheric mantle. Having been involved in exploration for carbonatite-hosted critical metals, Alexei investigates the origin of these fascinating rocks as a Provincial Geochemist with the BC Geological Survey.
