Erin Workman

Group Head, Exploration & Geosciences, Newmont

Erin Workman was promoted to Group Head Exploration and Geosciences in 2024, with responsibility for exploration and resource modeling. Prior to this role she served as Group Head Exploration since 2023. She joined Newmont in 2019 and has more than 20 years of experience in mineral exploration, studies, portfolio optimization, asset strategy, mergers and acquisitions, along with extensive knowledge across a wide range of commodities and jurisdictions.

Prior to joining Newmont, she held positions at Goldcorp, Trilogy Metals (formerly NovaCopper) and NovaGold. She has an Executive MBA from Queen’s University, Kingston, Canada, a Citation in Applied Geostatistics from the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada, and a BSc. Earth and Ocean Science from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada. She is also a professionally registered Geoscientist (P.Geo.).
