Council Member Kyle Shottanana brings six years of thoughtful and culturally grounded leadership to the Yaq̓it ʔa·knuqⱡi’it First Nation Council, currently serving his second term. His portfolio in Language and Culture is guided by a strong foundation in cultural values, ensuring that every decision reflects the Nation’s traditions and teachings. Kyle is deeply passionate about preserving and sharing the history and stories of his people, often ending meetings with thought-provoking stories that invite reflection and connection.
