Michael Durose

President & CEO, Lavras Gold Corp.

Mr. Durose is a professional geologist (P.Geo) registered in Ontario, with a B.Sc. (Honours) in Geology from Carleton University with a focus on mineral deposits geology, a Master of Science in Mineral Economics from Queen’s University, and a Graduate Diploma in Environmental Engineering from McGill University. He is currently President and CEO of Lavras Gold Corp., a junior gold exploration company focusing on Southern Brazil. He is the founder of Durose Asset Management Inc., and he previously held increasingly senior positions as a well-regarded mining analyst with Scotia Capital Inc., Morgan Stanely, Bunting Warburg, and Nesbitt Burns. He has travelled extensively to visit mining and exploration projects all over the world. Before joining capital markets, Mr. Durose worked as an exploration geologist in the Canadian base metal and gold industries.
