Philippe Tortell is a Professor of Oceanography at the University of British Columbia, and Head of the Department of Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences. He leads the UBC Future Minerals Working Group, an interdisciplinary team working with Indigenous and industry partners to re-imagine the future of the minerals resource sector.
