Randy Enkin is head of the Geological Survey of Canada’s Paleomagnetism and Petrophysics Laboratory and is building a Canadian Rock Physical Properties Database for mineral exploration. For 3 decades, he has been applying physics measurements to a wide variety of geoscience problems such as paleoseismology and hydrothermal alteration. Currently he is collaborating with the British Columbia Geological Survey to measure the physical properties of their rock archives to complement critical minerals exploration.
